GROUP FITNESS ETIQUETTE & POLICIES
Updated June 2026
Our Group Fitness community is built on respect, encouragement, and shared commitment. Following these guidelines helps create a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming experience for every participant and instructor.
BOOK IN ADVANCE
Reserve your class in advance to secure your spot. Classes without any reservations four (4) club operating hours before the scheduled start time will be canceled. Reservations help us provide the best possible schedule for our members.
CANCEL IF YOU CAN’T ATTEND
If your plans change, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible so another member has the opportunity to participate.
STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK
If you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, please stay home until you are well. This simple courtesy helps protect the health of fellow members and our team.
CHECK CLASS STATUS
Before heading to the club, check the Fitometry app for the latest class updates, cancellations, or schedule changes.
ARRIVE EARLY
Please arrive a few minutes before class begins. Early arrival allows time to set up your equipment, introduce yourself to the instructor (especially if you are new), discuss any injuries or limitations, and begin class without disrupting others.
STAY FOR THE ENTIRE CLASS
The cool-down and stretching portion of the class is an important part of your workout and helps reduce the risk of injury. Leaving early can also be disruptive to fellow participants and the instructor whenever possible.
INFORM YOUR INSTRUCTOR INJURIES OR LIMITATIONS
Please notify your instructor before class if you have any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations so they can provide appropriate exercise modifications.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
For everyone's safety, please store jackets, bags, and other personal belongings in the locker room. Items left on the studio floor may create tripping hazards.
RESPECT OTHERS’ COMFORT
Please avoid wearing strong perfumes, colognes, lotions, or heavily scented hair products. Fragrances can trigger allergies or sensitivities in enclosed exercise environments.
DRESS APPROPRIATELY
Wear clean athletic clothing and supportive athletic footwear appropriate for the class you are attending.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Water is encouraged and must be carried in a non-breakable, sealed container. Food is not permitted inside the group fitness studios.
CELL PHONES
Out of respect for fellow members and instructors, please silence all cell phones and smart devices before class. If you must take an urgent call, quietly step outside the studio.
FOLLOW INSTRUCTOR GUIDANCE
Listen carefully to your instructor's coaching and choose modifications when appropriate. Fitness is personal—focus on proper form and your own progress rather than comparing yourself to others.
CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF
Please wipe down all equipment after using and return weights, mats, and accessories to their designated storage areas before leaving the studio.
STEREO EQUIPMENT
For safety and consistency, stereo and audio equipment may only be operated by authorized Fitometry team members.
SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK
We welcome your suggestions and comments. If you have ideas to improve our Group Fitness program or notice a concern, please let a team member know. Your feedback helps us continue delivering an exceptional experience.
MINIMUM PARTICIPATION POLICY
To ensure we continue offering a high-quality and sustainable Group Fitness schedule, classes are regularly evaluated. Classes averaging fewer than six (6) participants over a two-month period may be modified or discontinued with a minimum of two (2) weeks' notice.
